Golden Orb Weaver Spider...don't worry though

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,24540399-5009760,00.html

An Aussie snapped a picture of this golden orb weaver spider eating a stinking bird!

A spider was eating a bird.

Not a humming bird, an actual bird-bird.

See:

But the quote that makes the story is this one:
Mr Shakespeare told ninemsn the bird, a chestnut-breasted mannikin
which appears frozen in an angel-like pose in the pictures, is likely to have
flown into the web and got caught. "It wouldn't eat the whole bird," he
said.

Oh, well if it wouldn't eat the whole bird then that's no big deal. For a second there I was worried.

Alge Crumpler

I love watching Alge Crumpler play football. But there's not a game that goes by that I don't wonder why on earth you would name your child afer seaweed. Yes I know it's spelled differently and yes, thanks to Wikipedia, I know that there are 30,000 different species of algae and not all are seaweed. But come on, when we think of algae, we think of seaweed and slime.

Keep on rocking in the free world Alge.

Sarah Palin has an Expensive Wardrobe

I cannot honestly believe the times I have heard today that Republicans have spent over $150,000 on outfits for Sarah Palin.

Not because of the amount. No, that amount doesn't shock me. I'm surprised because, who honestly cares? Is this shocking that they want her to be dressed well? Do they expect all the money in campaigns to be spent on advertising?

"Well this just shows that Republicans don't get that most Americans are suffering in these difficult economic times."

BALONEY!

Barack Obama has a plane.

John McCain has a plane.

They both have buses I'm sure.

Obama has raised (and spent the majority of) $605 million dollars during this campaign. That means the Republicans have spent .0248% of that on Palin's wardrobe.

So explain to me why I should care about this?

WBKO is Great

The following is an actual quote from the WBKO website regarding today's activity on WKU's campus:

Bowling Green Police have confirmed reports of shots fired on WKU's main
campus at Pearce Ford Tower.
Whether or not shots were actually fired is
still unconfirmed.
